Sock Box

How Cool is this Sock Box?

A local Middle School’s 8th grade Advisory Class placed the Sock Box they made near some community food boxes at a local church. Their teacher stated, “Our vision has been to give a place for community members to show their generosity, and for those in need to have community support for having healthy feet.”

The class’ research found people with limited resources often have foot problems from lack of socks and wet socks. The Middle School Sock Box is a place for clean, warm, dry socks to find cold feet to warm. The class was looking for a location to set the box in service with this Church’s Executive Council supporting their efforts to help our community. Good going Middle Schoolers!

*The food boxes were part of an Eagle Scout project.

** I purposely edited this to not reveal which Middle School. But maybe you can inspire some students?
