The Lhaq’temish are sending this pole to the Smithsonian Museum. Before heading across the country (and stopping at various Indigenous holy sites) the pole is making is way to various local stops first. We saw the pole today while it was in Birch Bay. The pole is from a 400 year old red cedar, 24′ 8″ tall and weighs 4900 pounds. You can follow along with the Hashtag or at their website.
