I won’t go into the whole story here, but suffice it to say that after we pulled into a freedom camping spot and went to start dinner, we realized we were out of water. Oops. 😬
We back tracked down the road to the nearest town and eventually found some, thanks to a very helpful has attendant.
I had recalled seeing someone I follow on Instagram use a dark blue wash to turn a day scene into a night scene. That’s all I could remember (and I didn’t want to get on the wifi – I was on vacation!). So I sketched and then painted the scene, waited for the paint to dry, and then applied the wash.
It was an interesting result. I might try sketching this scene again using a different method. 🤔
